Introduction to Shiatsu Shin Tai

A day retreat to enjoy how to use breath, movement and touch to benefit healthy body & mind:

  • Bring softness to your body with conscious movement & breath

  • Learn the basic principles of Shiatsu-Do

  • Experience giving and receiving a Shiatsu session

  • Seasonal refreshments to learn the power of food for health

To take the next step, join a 6-day Shiatsu foundation course comprising 3 weekends. You’ll come away with the ability to give basic shiatsu to friends and family.

  • Suitable for beginners and existing bodyworkers from other modalities who want to add Shiatsu into your practice.

  • Use this day as a chance to connect with yourself and others in a supportive friendly space

"Thanks for an amazing day of Shiatsu. I feel extremely at peace and felt like the day was a carefully balanced learning of skills alongside a weave of practical giving and receiving ....🙏  I learned a lot of this wonderful modality and Tracy delivered with such ease and grace and gently energy adding to the whole experience of somatic energy exchange ... 5 stars highly recommend"

We will meet in London N11 1EH

(only 8 places available)

  • If you have never learned or received a deeply relaxing Ginger Compress, now is your chance.

What better way to spend a mid-January Saturday?

What is a Ginger Compress?:

Fantastic for clearing coughs and colds, digestion, stagnation and really warming those kidneys.

Towels soaked in a hot ginger infusion are placed onto the skin, usually across the back or abdomen. The ginger deeply penetrates, is relaxing and nourishing, dissolving tension and stagnation, allowing you to rest and heal.

Specific indications include: Arthritis, backaches and muscular tension, intestinal cramps, inflammatory conditions, Congestive conditions,

menstrual cramps, kidney/gallbladder stones, Asthma, cysts in breasts and ovaries, and benign tumours like fibroids.

“Lovely workshop, Tracy is a wonderful shiatsu practitioner and teacher, I’ve learned and practiced beautiful important methods, met lovely people and had the best wintery soup ever. Will definitely join again”

— Tal Ofir, Shiatsu Practitioner - Attendee of Shiatsu Graduate Gatherings: The Art of Shiatsu: Refreshing & Exploring our practice.

Bespoke Workshops

Perfect for the wellbeing of your Team / Event / Support Group

I create experiential group sessions to suit your needs, helping your team to relax and prioritise their well-being.

During the workshops, we use an innovative mix of mindful movement, breathwork and Shiatsu principles to show simple ways of regulating the nervous system to release physical and mental tension they can practise every day.

It could be a movement and breath self-shiatsu session or an introduction to giving a hands-on ‘Listening Touch’ exchange.

The process of giving and receiving a basic Shiatsu can be used to support aspects of communication, trust, boundaries, vulnerability or play.

Some words from past workshops…

"Thank you so much for delivering such a lovely workshop for us. It was clearly so well thought out. I loved the alchemy of placing our items in the centre of the circle, that was a powerful image of bonding, so beautiful"

— 'Into the Woods' Nursery staff team

“Tracy provided a ‘wellbeing’ session at an event for newly qualified social workers. She engaged a group of over 50 people in mindful breathing techniques, encouraging us to focus on their bodies and presence in the room. Tracy provided some exercises that the attendees could takeaway and apply in their work or home environments. It was good to have a dedicated space in the day for everyone to take some time to focus on themselves and their mental wellbeing”

—Heidi Rossetter, North London SW training

“Every GP surgery needs a Tracy”

— Keynote speaker & attendee of a Self-Shiatsu session at Jewish Care’s World Social Work Day
